What is ‘Botox’
Botulinum Toxin A is a neurotoxin derived from Clostridium Botulin, it has been purified and contains no active bacteria. It causes temporary paralysis of the muscles it is injected into. The brand Botox was first approved in 2002 for use in treating hyperhidrosis (excess sweating), this along with other brands is now approved for multiple medical and cosmetic purposes. The effects are only temporary and last between 3-6 months.
We use the brand ‘Bocouture®’ for our anti- wrinkle injections, there are minimal side effects and majority of our clients report fantastic results. Other brands are available upon request- prices may vary- please contact us for more details.

What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA), HA is a naturally occurring component of the skin, it binds water molecules and hydrates. Levels of natural HA diminish with age, treatment with injectable HA can restore elasticity, tone and volume to the skin. Modern HA fillers are non-animal, biodegrade naturally (last between 6-12months) and allows the passage of nutrients and cells. This strong scientific baking makes it an extremely safe, stable, natural looking treatment.
We currently use the brand ‘Restylane®’ for our dermal fillers. This produces a great, very natural looking results. Other brands are available upon request- prices may vary- please contact us for more details.

What Is Lip Filler
Lip Fillers are very similar to Dermal Fillers, they are an injectable Hyaluronic Acid. There are different properties across manufacturers and brands, a thin filler is better suited to thin skin areas than a thick filler. Fillers specifically for the lips have been created, this is due to the high vascularisation and movement in the area. They are specially designed to last longer with the movement of the lips. On average they last between 5-9months.
We use the brand ‘Restylane®’ for our lip augmentation/ fillers. It produces a smooth very natural looking result. Other brands are available upon request- prices may vary- please contact us for more details.

What Are Skin Peels
Chemical peels, sometimes referred to as Skin peels, are by no means a new treatment. The Ancient Egyptians used natural acids derived from fruit and milk for skin rejuvenation. There are now a number of different acids to treat specific skin conditions. They provide a superficial and deep stimulus for renewal of the skin. As nurses we are able to provide medical grade peels which can only be carried out by a medical professional.

What is Microneedling – optional opening tab
Microneedling using an automated pen is the most modern technique, it is used to puncture the dermis while causing minimal damage to the dermis. This opens micro channels within the skin to briefly allow much deeper penetration of beneficial substances. The dermis reacts as though it has been wounded, leading to growth factors being released stimulating the production of both new collagen and elastin.
Why not a roller?
Different areas of the face require different needle depths. This can be achieved using an automated pen but not a roller (which has a fixed needle length. Rollers also rely on the person using it to use the exact same use of pressure during the treatment, this can lead to patchy results.
Area’s We Treat: Face and Body
We use the most advanced
Microneedling technique- the Microneedling Pen (DermaPen®). This offers us more control and enables us to treat targeted areas. We also use a HA (hyaluronic acid) gel- this is absorbed into the skin increasing smoothness and hydration

Vitamin D injections
Vitamin D injections can offer a boost for your health, and could be suitable if you are feeling run down, have a chronic health condition, gut problems, or simply aren't getting enough vitamin D from your lifestyle and/or diet.
It is thought that around 20% of the UK population is deficient in Vitamin D.
The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) advises that everyone in the UK should supplement daily with 10 micrograms of vitamin D between October and March, with minority ethnic groups encouraged to supplement throughout the whole year.
So what does taking vitamin D do?
Maintains bone density and bone health
supports the immune system
Regulates the activity of more than 200 different genes
Aids the absorption of calcium and phosphate in the body (these are essential for muscles, teeth and bones)
Helps prevent osteoporosis
Reduces inflammation
Protects against heart disease
Supports brain function
Moderates cell growth
Vitamin B12 injections
Are you vegan or vegetarian?
Most people get all the B12 they require through the food they eat (think meat, poultry, fish and dairy), but if your vegan or vegetarian, you're at risk of a deficiency.
Vitamin B12 is made by bacteria and is mostly found in animal products and a few selected fortified products.
